Wipeout may not score points for style and engine mechanics, but the overall core is a real fun party game.

Successful Kinect mechanics for multiplayer, and awesome mechanics of obstacles you'd actually see on the show. Good voice samples and entertaining visuals never grate up. A good game to get a simple handful of laughs out of.
Replays rub your misfortune in your unlucky face. Tasks to do before running a course are embarrassing, like striking poses or dancing. Kinect models do patch up, while it's infrequent, but noticeable. Not really some achievements worth striving for.

RENT, BUY, OR SKIP?:
I would recommend buying this game, because it's a great experience that shouldn't be missed. For Wipeout fans who have held it this long to play the game, don't hold it any longer.
For a good party-harty game, get Wipeout. For a perfect party-harty game, Wipeout may not be your pick. But it's a decent choice and it's worth your hard-earned cash to have a blast with, alone or flanked with friends.
