I am not an RPG kind of gamer. I mostly do non-stop action fps with almost no plot. So Final Fantasy is not a favorite in my standards. But Kingdom Hearts is different. This RPG is not turn based (whew!) and is also almost non-stop action. Although it has a plot, I can always skip through the cut scenes. You start out the game as Roxas (for those of you who have played the previous Kingdom Hearts games). Roxas is Sora's nobody. He lives in a virtual world with seemingly virtual friends and family. He has enemies, struggles, friends, and adventures throughout the first three hours of the game. But strange things start to happen and he is thrust into the reality of Kingdom Hearts. There he finds Sora and from then on, that's who you play as. Sora and his comrades Goofy and Donald (yes, Donald Duck) are faced with the task of eliminating evil from all of the worlds. What you find out in the beginning is that what you did in the first two games was basically pointless and you have to seal up all of the worlds all over again. But to aid them in their adventures, Sora holds a secret. He is the chosen wielder of the legendary keyblade! The keyblade is a key-shaped weapon that can unlock any lock. It can come in many different forms or shapes. Normally when you beat a level, you receive a new form of the keyblade. It is also the only thing that can defeat the impending evil, the heatless. Heartless are dark creatures lead by Malificent and Pete. They are drawn to the keyblade's power yet cower in it's presence. These will be the basic enemy that you will face throughout the game. They appear everywhere in all shapes and sizes depending on the location. The bigger the heartless, the harder it is to defeat. Another force of evil are the nobodies. When a person dies and their heart turns into a heartless, the outer shell of the person's soul becomes a nobody. Mostly they are floating, mindless jacket-like hings that have zippers for mouths. But when a person with a strong heart dies (like Sora, but he was only put to sleep), an actual near replica of the person is made (like Roxas or Namine). Lead by a group of extremely powerful nobodies called Organization XIII, these enemies will prove to be a great challenge for you as you encounter and defeat the thirteen members of the organization. When you play through the game, you will encounter tons of familiar characters from Disney and Final Fantasy. FF characters include Cloud, Sephiroth, Yuffi, Leon, Titus, Wakka, and more. The characters from Disney include Goofy, Donald, Pete, Malificent, Hercules, Hades, Pegasus, Mickey Mouse, Ariel, Triton, Ursela, Jack Skelington, Oggie Boogie, Jack Sparrow, Will Turner, Mulan, Simba, , Timon and Pumba, the Beauty and the Beast. Yes there are some new levels included such as the Pirates of the Caribbean level and the Mulan level. Also, you can use the drive mode. As you dish out and take damage, your drive goes up. When your drive reaches a certain level, you can go into diffrent forms. When you go into a form, Donald and Goofy disappear and you get to wield two keyblades! You deliver extra punch and magic too. But on the down side of things, your survival basically depends on how fast and in what direction you swing your keyblade. So you mostly have to mash buttons.
