This is in opinion one of those really unappreciated and forgotten gems of instant classics out there. It came in the wake of tons of other football games, most notably sensible soccer, all of which has basically the same style of controlling and playing.

I suppose if you wanted to play some of the old football classics, sensible soccer is probably your best choice, but i will give you personal guarantee that this game is well worth your while, and thats putting it lightly.

This game is fully customizable, which means you change about all you want when it comes to attributes and team color. The general overview, and easy layout makes it both fun to toy around with, and you can alter the game in what ever fashion you seem fit, to make it more to your liking. Even the possibility to make you very own team, and place in the league you see fit is also possible! (When i say that most of the game is customizable, means that lots of the aspects are, and i don't see the need to point out everyone)
The game actually comes with real names, and attributes that tries to reflect the real players skills and goes all the way down to conference league! Which in my view shows that the creators really took the time, effort and affection while making this game.
You can play in a campaign, make you own tournaments, play a friendly and not so friendly with a friend, it offers a lot of possibilities.
It is a while ago since i played this game, but i can still recall the controls, whats bad and whats good. Firstly, it is kind of hard to just pick up and play, first because it has kind of funky steering, which is something you have adapt to, makes the game challenging at first. Shooting is also something that needs to be adapted to, but it is all apart of the learning process. Because you can, put a spin on the ball, you can lob it, shot at different strengths and so on. All of these factor makes it a bit hard to pick up, but once it has been learned, you will see that the controlling is excellent.

I don't have much more criticisms than already mentioned, perhaps it is a clone, or is totally ripped of, i don't know. But in my opinion one of the very best of the old football classics
