Sad to see so many people hate this game!

Mall Tycoon 2 is probable the most underrated tycoon I ever played!Yes the graphics suck, but is that the only thing that matters?If you look deeper, you'll see a pretty enjoyable game, plus, it is a budget game, how much more do you want for $15 ( now $9.99 at target).Yes, mall tycoon 3 has better graphics and easier to play, but the gameplay is lacking, it is fun at first, and mall tycoon 2 deluxe you get a pretty rough start, but later on,mall tycoon 3 gets way too boring.Yes, mall tycoon 2 deluxe requires you to have good planning skills, and a lot of thinking, but what's wrong with that?If you have a problem with that, then you are just lazy, this is realistic, 9 out of 10 businesses in the real world fail, and the same is for here.

There are many stores you can choice from, and very customizable, something mall tycoon 3 lacked.You can truely make the mall you want!And truely, when you make a successful mall on this game, isn't it more rewarding then mall tycoon 3?

The amazing thing about this game, is how realistic it is.The way you plan your mall, some buildings help each other with sales, and some harm each other.For example, build 2 food places, 1 will have to go bye bye, because of competition.building a coffee store with a book store, you have one powerful businesses, because, well, people can sit down, read their book while enjoying their coffee a comfortable environment.I know this is all true, even a guide for this game mentions it, and I have experienced it too.The guide on gameFAQs (sorry i forget who wrote, but i give them a thank you who ever you are for giving everyone including me tips) is very helpful with making a good mall, should read it.

The sound, which everyone has been criticizing isn't honestly that bad.The sound is just basic, nothing to complain about, and the music is rather relaxing, i mean what the heck you want for a tycoon game?If this game was $50, i would expect the graphics and sound to be a notch up, but come on, this is $15, you think they are going to spend money on top notch tech. for this?Yes, the game could of been soo much better since it uses renderware engine, which had at least shown its true colors in one of its games, the movies.

So overall, it isn't a perfect game, and i don't put it as my favorite either,but it deserves more credit then it is getting.
