My little brother and I were kind of "psyched" when we heard that a new Sonic PS2 game was going to be released. Sadly, we were let down when the game was absolutely horrendous. Sonic Heroes was released about four years ago, for that period of time, the graphics for Sonic Heroes weren't too bad and the storyline was very mediocre. But after the original Sonic came out for the Sega Genesis, I absolutely loved the 2-D platform game, but once it came out for other consoles like GameCube and the PS2, I began to lose interest in my favorite childhood video game character. In Sonic Heroes, the gameplay is unlogical and poorly formatted. Sonic Heroes was a fast-paced game that usually required the player to reach a certain point in a certain amount of time. But at each stage, there were enemies, but you simply rushed past them before they could even move, serving no purpose. But when you did decide to slow down and fight the pitiful enemies, you had very limited combat moves, you would have to jump on them repeatedly to deal damage. Over all, I was disappointed in what Sega did with Sonic Heroes, and its predecessors for the PS2 and GameCube. Sonic Heroes could have been much better in technical formatting and should have had better story plot.
