Baseball

User Rating: 9.2 | Major League Baseball 2K5 XBOX
This is very good sports game for the two systems. Normally I hate baseball games because there to hard to understand, but that has changed with MLB 2K5. Pitching is way easer than the pitching in MVP Base ball 2005. Hitting is pretty much timing and can be easily grasped in about 20 minutes. The only hard thing when you’re first playing is all the advance techniques. For example stealing bases. Also deciphering a strike from a ball.
Besides learning masters of the game, you should just have fun, and it is really easier to have fun in this game. You get to have a sky box were you can have an air hockey table, a dart board, and a shuffle board. But to get these things you need to get points in games. They set up goals for you before a game and if you do them you get points. The more unlock. Cretin objects like, throwback jerseys, classic teams, and classic stadiums so you will have to play a lot to unlock them all.
Luckily the audio on the field is really fun to listen to. Since the game is powered by ESPN it has ESPN features. An example is it feels like an ESPN game. If you watch a baseball game on ESPN then play the game, they are very similar. I personally find that pretty cool. The commentary are two people in the Hall of Fame, I apologize that I don’t know there names.
The actually game play is fun, if you play on rookie. Once I scored 60 runs in one game. Pitching is nice and simple with the K- zone, where you line up two to lines to the little circle. The diving plays I think are funny, because you could be standing still and then hit the dive button and your player will automatically dive. The cool new on command Base Running allows you just to control the man on base. Allowing you to steal bases easier. But the best of all is the Slam Zone. If a pitcher pitches in a bad spot Slam Zone will activate. Then time will slow down and you have to tap a button to gain more power. Then you hit B, for the Xbox, and hopefully it is a home run.
If your looking for a good baseball game that doesn’t have all the crazy controversy then gets MLB 2K5 it is only $20 due to a price cut in 2k sports, Head Quarters. This game is made by Visual Concepts, Kush Games, and 2K sports. It is powered by ESPN. It is on Xbox, and PS2. For a final mark I give it an A!
