I'm tired of hearing how The Show is so much better, unless u can afford 2 systems than get a life but for the 1 system xbox owners we need a baseball game & so far I think mlb2k is changing the way baseball games r played, it gets boring with just the 1 button pitch or bat. mlb2k made just 2 bad games in a row & that's only because they were experimenting with the new pitching & batting mechanics, lets not 4get how many attempts madden had b4 they got it right. & from what i hear The Show is a rehash of last year anyway

Just played the demo. The defensive swing works pretty well. I can see myself using it.

Looks like they've, essentially, gotten rid of the check swing, though. I wasn't able to get my batters to check once when swinging for contact. I didn't try with a power swing.

That looks sick! Hopefully the 09 bugs are fixed and my controller will work better with it. Tho since I threw my controller several times, I prolly need a new one anyhow

I havent even got the chance to even play the 09 one why the controls where so bad it didnt jmatter what i did or bought to just have a chance to play i agree the hitting is bad and no support for gamepads, keyboards the settings would not take lets hope they fix this.

i wish mlb the show was on xbox. if madden can take over the whole market, why does a horrible game like mlb2k do the same thing?

Looks interesting. Would rather see videos about how they hired some true baseball fans as testers to work out all the problems they had with '09. Making innovations to the pitching and hitting mechanics should be an afterthought, making a smooth, bug free experience should come first. Will stick with The Show for now, but will give 2K one final chance to impress me.

i really hope they improve their basketball game. the game was awesome but was plagued with millions of framerate problems.

this seems to be more of a family game than a single game. to me that is.

All baseball games have been complete garbage since the last MVP Baseball which was 2005 and MVP NCAA 06. That series in comparison to the 2Ks and whatever (forgettable) others is a true study in how to devolve a sports game. Believe me, ive played all the others in a hopeless attempt to satisfy my craving for a baseball game experience and its always ended in complete frustration and a trip back to the store to return the game. Ive since just given up completely, and this video validates my beliefs on the subject. However, the one baseball game i have not played is a PS3 exclusive, which i own a 360, I believe its the Bigs if im not mistaken. Ive read good things but im more than willing to bet it would still fall short of the MVP formula.

Case in point, when you need to implement an "analyzer" that tells people what they're doing wrong, it means the mechanic isn't intuitive. In other words, it sucks.

Dear 2K sports, please stop the suckage of your baseball games by chopping the bullsh*t and broken gesture system.
