Very tactical and strategic

This game is not only directed towards gamers who play the card game. Infact, I know many people who play the card game, who don't like this game because they say "it's not as good" as the card game. So it's more likely directed towards people who don't play the card get (to probably get them into it) or for people who like the card game and don't want to get into the whole buying card thing. I personally have never played MTG card game, so I'll review this based only on the Xbox game alone. The learning curve of this game is very steep. It has a quest mode (with a shallow story just to attempt to make it interesting) that is pretty much a giant tutorial to teach you how to play the game, and teaches you what each spell and creature is good for. Some of the quests can be very simple, but many are hard and requires you to plan out how you're going to use your spells. Once you complete the quest mode, which can take quite a while, you still wont be skilled enough to go against many players online. Sadly, there are not many people online for this game, but when you do find someone online, the majority are very skilled and are hard to defeat. Resulting to you having to learn strategies, learn from your mistakes, and come up with lots of tactics. It's a very hard game and can get very intense once you become skilled at this game. The graphics are "okay". Nothing impressive, but they're not bad either. It slightly lags when you have a screen full of 10 creatures and spells going off, but you'll only notice the difference in speed once the screen becomes cleared and the game comes to it's original speed again. Some of the stages look quite nice in this game, but nothing "state-of-the-art". The sound is just as good as the graphics. The music fits well with the game, doesn't get annoying. Some of the voices on the other hand can be pretty weird. They have the weirdest insults and taunts like "may your suffering equal your weekness". But it's nothing annoying enough to make you go crazy. There is lots of replay value if you get into this game. You're best bet at multiplayer is if you get your friends, siblings, or whoever to like this game aswell. If you get this game for the xbox live, don't expect much replay value from this game. I've waited longer then 5 minutes a few times for someone to go against me online, and it's very rare I go against someone with the same skill level as me. Overall, this game is very good and overlooked by many. Even if you're not a big fan of strategy games, you still might want to just give this a try. Although, this game is not for everyone. This is another "try before you buy" games and can take a very long time to get into it.
