    @Tuppe666 i agree 100% even the 4000 series should be fine, i can run crysis maxed out but noo my gta iv runs like crap, i hate badly optimized/ported games

    @spliff_man
    I personally go for the cheapest one of equivalent cards, would it be NV or ATi.
    You really think that this kind of competition is a good thing?
    That you need to have two (~300€) GPUs from both manufacturer to play all the games, or have only one and play 50% of the games?
    I would prefer monopoly rather than that.

    ATi has Havok physics engine, but it is not restricted to use with NV card.
    They probably don't have that much resources as NV to trying to inconvenience playing.
    NV shouldn't use their resources to eliminate players' choice to use different manufacturer cards on certain games.
    But no point arguing this until Mafia 2 is out and tested with Ati cards, it could run OK with PhysX on HD5000's.

    @sirk1264 wouldn't a gtx 260 be overkill just for physics? im sure a 8600gt would do the job fine and stress your psu less

    @Tuppe666 Nvidia cards may cost more but then it is down to the buyer to chose what company to go for, competetion is a good thing it brings down prices and makes the companies work harder to bring out more advance tech. ad_rock is right, i used to have a 9800 and it lasted me 3 solid years still maxing out games, I have started to think nvidia care more about their gamers due to physx support and the likes, if ATI cared wouldn't they of come up with something similar and got a few contracts with gaming developers in order to secure themselves more sales?

    Looks like I might have a reason to use my spare GTX 260 to calculate physx. To me Physx hasn't impressed me much at all to warrant putting that GPU in my second PCI express slot but this looks impressive.

    @Tuppe666, 9800s are hardly "useless", I've played Dragon Age, ME2, & BFBC2 with a 9800. DAO & ME2 with maxed out settings. Those are all 2010 releases - now I'm looking to upgrade. The price gap is only for the newest cards and if your buying the latest card out money obviously isn't much of an issue.

    @ad_rock
    NV cards are 100$ more expensive compared to competiting ATi card, so I prefer the cheaper and more player friendly choice.
    Why people should get a NV card just because they are dominating and neglecting players with the PhysX.
    Recommended doesn't mean it is suitable, 9800 should be useless for new games(If they aren't 2006 console ports).
    I own HD4870 myself, there is no way in my country that one couldn't _afford_ "buying a GPU"... I use my money on other things.
    But we'll see, I can't actually see the future and say "this will not work on ATi cards". If it doesn't, I'll pass this game, not so huge deal.

    @Tuppe666 Get over it, you say you spend your money wisely by not buying Nvidia then whine because they have technology ATI doesn't. The recommended sys req is a 1gb 9800 which is like 100 bucks, you can't afford that?

    specificly for pc? i thought 2k was using the same physics engine for all systems?

    @assasin_462
    I'm not talking about that, I don't have nvidia card(I use my money wisely), so I don't have option to run PhysX on my ATi card, I have only option run it on my E8400 C2D CPU, which isn't fast.
    But I can pretty much guarantee that with reasonable priced CPUs, ATi users cannot use PhysX in this game. But ultimately we will see when this comes out, but Mirror's Edge proved that my E8400 isn't enough for PhysX.
    That is why NV is horrible company, they don't care about the players and will not give choice until you give money to them.
    That should be illegal, I really hope Mafia 2 will not be ruined for me by PhysX+ATi performance.

    At 00:41 and 00:52 the cars blew up but the men stayed on their feet (As they should be blown away as well by standing near the blown vehicle). Is this allowed in physx OR is this a bug OR this is for heroes only OR am i totally missing something. Can't wait for the game though because of the first one was a big hit.

    PhysX eh? i hope i will run ok on ATi

    @tuppe666 with the latest beta nvidia drivers you have the option to run physx on either the cpu or the graphics card, i have an overclocked gtx 275 however my processor is a phenom ii 550 at 3.8ghz, i tested with a few games and my system runs smoother with the graphics card processing physics, its good to be able to choose depending on the users system

    Bah, gonna have to buy it on PC, just can't risk not playing Mafia 2 to it's fullest. The first one was so good, bought it on sale at wal mart, when it first became cheap... beat the game totally loved it... loved it so much, when i heard they were bringing it the consoles, i had to tell all my friends to rent this game... of course the console game sucked and i looked really stupid... so i'll buy it on PC again, just to be safe

    @ spag007 Because Euphoria is used for character animation, not things like glass breaking realistically, or clothes moving in the wind. The glass breaking and falling in shards to the floor, chunks of walls and wood breaking dynamically, these are not things you see in RDR or GTA IV.
