If you liked the original Mafia then, you'll love Mafia II.

- Difficulty:
- Just Right
- Time Spent:
- 40 to 100 Hours
- The Bottom Line:
- "All it's cracked up to be"
-First off, if you're not into realistic type of games then don't even bother getting it. I'd recommend to trying a demo first.
Mafia II starts out a bit slow but slowly it starts to suck you in. Personally, I love the fact that it takes place in 1940s and early 1950s. You might be wondering why? Well let me tell you. It's like Grand Theft Auto except everything feels more realistic and exactly how things were back in those days.
Gameplay - It's pretty awesome.. specially the fact that you get to use WWII guns. You will absolutely love Tommy with a drum clip. You can straight up spray! Just make sure you dip when you get sprayed with a Tommy by the cops. They really don't mess around. You die sort of fast, you will die anywhere from one to four bullets.. depending on what gun they're using. Don't rely on anyone, you have no friends, everyone in Italian families and other Mafias are greedy. It's exactly what it used to be like back in those times. (Picking locks is pretty unique). Graphics aren't bad but could have been a bit better.
Cars - Some of you say, I hate how cars handle. I think, you just might be bad at driving them. Do you really think those heavy cars from back in the day handled as well as cars do now days? NO! Just take your time and get used to it before you start telling how bad they are. There are pretty sweet old school rides with great handling and they are fast! I love the fact that speed feels so real, I love the fact that cops go after you for "hit and run and speeding". You can customize cars a little like you would back in those times.
Negative - Cops spray you while chasing you and you can't even shoot while driving. You can't carry much ammo (although on a bright side.. you can carry as many weapons as you want).
Overall - Personally, I enjoyed this game and I would strongly recommend it if you're into Free Roam games.

This is the ending movie of Mafia, considered by some to be the best game ending ever made. Contains spoilers, obviously.Posted Jul 21, 2006
