Come join the family
First a look at the story, as the first Mafia game the writer has done a perfect job and it is sprinkled with great voice acting, the characters feels so real and I take my role as Vito on my shoulders with pride.
The story sucked me in and I felt like I was the main character in a very long movie, doing what ever to make me becoming a "made man" and joining the right family, I specially liked the twisted turns the story takes, left me with open mouth or breath taking laughs.
I'm using the xbox 360 controller on my PC and it works great, Vito is easy to control and the car fun to drive and something to get used to, the cover function is simple but yet very importing to master, since you get killed very if you're not using it. it seems like there's a semi auto aim on but in the heat of the action it's a great help.
The game isn't very long, I spend around 10 hours on it, but I still have blood on my tooth, I'm already planning getting through this game on hard and finding all magazines and other secret stuff.
One thing I could see this game needed was a multiplayer part, there could be so many things to do in this city with people around the world, robbing a bank, street racing and so on. When you finally have some time off from the story there's not much to do, besides driving around, buying new cloth and upgrade your cars.
But I really feel like this game could be a game I take back after some time and play it again, there might even go years before I do, it has that thing, just like the first Mafia.
And with those words I will recommend this game to all who are a fan of the first game and all of those who like a great story and want to be in the middle of it all.
