For all those who expect this game to be like GTA.
The reason for this is that it is better not to spoil the essence of the original Mafia experience, which the developers have successfully carried forward in the sequel, with pointless and unrealistic side-missions which would create a diversion from the main story, which the players are supposed to be engrossed into.My personal opinion is that if i had to do countless(and stupid) side-missions, which have no connections with the main story, it would have left a very bad taste in my mouth. The whole idea of the series is to feel the character you're playing and be a part of the story, and I'm sure that anyone who loved the first Mafia would also love this one.
I conclude by stating that it is unfair to rate this game poorly for not having the freedom of GTA and I'm sure that anyone who plays it keeping these aspects in mind will love stepping into the shoes of Vito Scaletta.
