Totally lives up to its predecessor

Mafia 2 is an amazing game that lives up to its amazing predecessor. It offers great gunplay,great graphics,great story and a great atmosphere that make you feel like you are really playing the role of a 1950 era mobster.Now i have seen many people complaining that there is nothing to do in the free roaming mode but as 2k czech has already stated that the game is focused more on offering a great immersive story in which it totally succeeds.Now in the comments to the video review kevin vanord said that he is reviewing the game and they are not concerned about what the company was mainly offering in the game well on that basis GTA 4(with which a lot of people are comparing it) has nothing to offer JUST CAUSE 2,RED DEAD REDEMPTION and GTA SAN ANDREAS has a free roaming world thousand times better than GTA 4 and GTA 4 story is also very boring campared to MAFIA 2 and RDR so why should a game like GTA 4 which is inferior to its predecessor receieve a 10 score while MAFIA 2 which improves upon its predecessor in almost every way receieve a score of 8.5.I think the game deserves a solid 9.0 at the very least.

Graphics:9.0
Very good graphics with a very smooth framerate unlike GTA 4 where i had constant framerate drops during gameplay.

Gameplay:9.0
Great shooting mechanics the guns really pack a punch though driving could have been a bit better but you could easily adapt to its style of driving,the only disappointment is that you cannot swim in water.

Sound:9.0
Great voice acting,the guns all sound completely different from one another though i think the cars could have used a better sound.

Value:9.0
Though it has no side missions but the story is intersting and keeps you glued to the screen i would rather play a 20 hour intersting game over a 40 hour unintersting game and the missions have great variety.It only lacks a multiplayer which would have made it perfect in this department
