There have never been a greater football game! EVER!!

In the history of Football games, no game has ever come close to the incredible excitement and uber fun gameplay that makes up the greatest football game of all time, Madden NFL 97 for the Playstation. Now I will say that I have never been that big of a fan of sports games. Every now and then a game will come along that will blow my skirt up and I will get wrapped up in it. This game however, took over my life for a time. What caught my attention was the tackling noises. When you tackle somebody in other games, you can hear pads slamming together and helmets colliding, but in Madden 97, you can hear the players grunting and groaning. I mean, say your on defense, and the opposing team throws a pass, and just as the receiver is about to catch the ball, your free safety runs in for the kill and, GRRHHEHHRHRRRRRGGGHHH!!!!! Ball goes flying, receiver goes flying, and you are left there with the overwhelming feeling of drilling someone into the ground. 2nd and 10; they attempt a screen play to the left. your onside linebacker is moved up into the defensive line. The ball snaps and before the QB even gets a chance to scope out his receiving options, HEEEEPPPUOOOOAAAAHHHHH, off with his head. This game owns for so many reasons. My friend and I used to say that if there were ever a Madden 97 Tourney, we would own everyone hands down. I personally hold the single player record of 222-0 in 5 min quarters. I caught pretty much every single onside kick i kicked, which was every one. I want someone to name another football game where you can straight up run circles around the opposing team. My longest touchdown return was 109 yards. This game owns and seriously, if your a die hard Madden fan, go back and play Madden 97. You will understand why it was and still is the best Madden in the series.
