As close to perfect as we've come, but still a ways to go

It's like heaven, if in heaven someone took a dump in your shoes daily. Visually, Madden is amazing and outdoes every other football game available. Sound-wise... awesome hit effects and Al Michaels rocks the house. Being the Madden franchise, I don't think you can get rid of John Madden's commentary yet but it remains the dumbest, annoying, and most obvious commentary to date. I'd rather Dennis Miller be announcing. At least I wouldn't have to hear things like, "the key to winning a game is to catch passes and score points by making it into the endzone multiple times" .... thanks John.

The errors needed to be improved are: DB animations of turning to gather the ball in rather than actually defend the damn thing or DB's jumping to swat the ball and ending up 15 yards out of the play. Plays are purposely F'd up and fumbles occur 5 seconds after the whistle now, just to include the unnecessary "challenge play" feature. Madden's features, pre and post game animations and screens are dangerously similar to NCAA to the point where you suspect its the same game with different uniforms.

I love Madden, but at this point I'm praying for a speedy release of the PS3 version.
