short and sweet: madden has really cool features - owner mode - but the gameplay is not good. Interceptions are way too frequent, and running the ball is hard, not fun, and sometimes just plain unfair. Control freaks will love the owner mode, but the gameplay will lead you to building franchises but never playing actual games with them. ESPN NFL Football has no owner mode but it still has enough features to keep you busy - The Crib - and the gameplay will have you on the edge of your seat... going for that one yard you know you can get on 4th and inches.
