I had a lot more fun with this than Madden 64.

Madden 64 was unbelievably meh, but I found this game to be a lot more enjoyable. Don't get me wrong, this doesn't change my opinions on sports games, but this is definitely an improvement from the first game.

Some things don't change however. I still don't think it's THAT fun, and the sound quality is better, but it doesn't have an epic orchestral score either. The Madden franchise is just eternally rooted in gameplay that I don't find TOO enjoyable.

With that said, I think this game is a big improvement. The menus feel a lot more streamlined, quick, and easy. Also the gameplay itself feels so much more smooth. The graphics are improved, and they even have a slight cartoony look close up, but it works.

In conclusion, if you're choosing between this and Madden 64, definitely go for this game, though I still say get Blitz.
