Madden NFL 2013: Extremely disappointing. At first I was excited but soon realized connected careers is a bore.

Madden NFL 2013 had me excited for the first day but quickly became bland. I played the player portion of connected careers to begin my Madden experience. At first it appeared to have the potential to be a great mode but soon realized that there are only two major differences between the 2007 version of Superstar mode. Those two differences are the experience points and earning a starting job. Other than that its a grueling experience of a half simulated game. No interviews, nothing to do with money earned, not much excitement.

Now onto the coaching aspect of connected careers. I must admit I enjoy the new preseason cuts, the new scouting system, and even the new way to progress your players. However, I am longing to be able to create a team. It was must favorite part about franchise mode. The ability to create a team pick the cupcake team skill level and develop a dynasty.

Another issue I have at times is the difficulty of the game. In coach mode I started a season with the Dolphins and so far I have always had the number one defense. My offense was absolutely terrible but I still managed to have a 3-1 record with not even the best of offenses scoring consistently. I would win all my games by getting sacks and interceptions returned for a touchdown.

I want to enjoy Madden and I continue to try. I enjoy the gameplay but still waiting for connected careers to be what it should be.
