What will Running backs be like in 10 years? will they be small fast guys like Spiller Johnson and Charles. Or Bigger ones like Jacobs, Blount, and Hillis? Or a combo of both like Lynch and Richardson? I can see it being a smaller league with a lot of 4:25-3 players.
What do you see?

Tony Gonzalez is the best tight end ever. Not Winslow SR., Gates,Gronk, or Mackey are even close to being as good as him.

That is definitely something interesting to think about...kudos on the topic! I personally see Richardson/Lynch backs, but with more emphasis being placed on catching out of the backfield. If the league keeps going pass happy, you're going to need someone in the backfield who can block OR be a threat to come out and catch it.

i think the smaller faster guys may be what people lean towards, i feel like they could last a little bit longer,
The backs like jacobs and such i think we will see less and less of, with player safety and just the toll it takes on the body, they cant be productive for as long. The are not afraid to try and run people over and such.
Smaller backs still take big hits and such, yes..but they do not go into a game trying to 1 on 1 linebackers.. Also smaller faster backs are generally more versatile with catching and stuff. They can still pass block too, rice and mjd are good at it

I prefer grind it out power backs. I'm a bit old fashion and prefer run heavy offenses but the NFL has gotten pass happy.
Back to reality:
The combo backs like AP, lynch, and rich are the stars while speed Backs are valued next. Sproles is a really good HB for the saints due to his catching ability.
