He just cant get it done anymore and Billy B has been known to kick star players to the curb seemingly out of nowhere. It happened with Lawyer Malloy, Richard Seymour, and Brady will be next. Its shame since he used to be so good, but after seeing him struggle against a wounded Ravens squad, I think he may be done all together.

No. This is stupid and here's why
1.Brady is still a good QB he has just struggled in the post season lately. By your logic Payton Manning should be released from the Broncos any day now.
2A. Who would replace him? Most NFL players respect their team and would rather stay where they are as opposed to going somewhere else for maybe an extra million
2B. There are now quality QBs in this draft. There are a lot of projections that don't show a QB going in the first round
3A. Argueably the best QB who will likely be on the market for next year is Alex Smith.
3B. Smith is used to working with a run heavy offence which teams like the Chiefs have.
3C. Even with Reid being a Pass focused coach the threat of Charles being able make a huge play on the ground and a quality QB able to make a pass to a WR like Bowe is still enough to scare teams.

Your theory is correct but the one thing you're not acknowledging about the players he sent packing is that none of them are franchise QB's. Bellicek would be pretty much starting all over and going into rebuild mode. At this point in his career I can assure you he's not interested in doing that.

What is with people making stupid pats topics lately? First there was the topic about the Pats releasing Gronk (HA!), then there was the one about V. Wilfork being an overrated fat guy (LMFAO!), now this?

Either you're trolling, or just plain dumb. Maybe a little bit of both.

    First off... no

2nd off. He may not be in his prime but he is still putting up some good stats. His numbers don't show he doesn't "have it" anymore. Like I siad.. is he in his prime anymore? Probably not. Especially with teams getting a lot better now a days and he is getting older and his team is changing a lot. The fact that this QB can still put up great numbers for over 10 years and have his team changer so much def shows he is a great QB. A smart one at that.

I don't understand all the hate on Brady. He is super successful and yeah hes had a little slump the past 7 years in winning a championship but thats not as bad as other QBs who been in the league just as long if not longer. Farve couldn't do it, Elway couldn't do it, Manning can't do it, Marino didn't do really anything. I mean what are you guys not seeing? lol Brady has had a crap Defense for years and STILL brings them to the championship and or deep in the playoffs. For a guy who has his team change up more than his underwhere I am still excited to see what he does. There are so many teams that just lose 1 or 2 stars and they become horrible. Brady lost his whole defensive team in 2008 and 2009. With the Loss of Lawyer Miloy, Mike Vrabal and Seymour. I mean come on.

Yeah say all that BS you want about how you say he can't win a SB without spygate yet... He still get there? So what is one more game? Its been known that NFC has the defense and AFC has the offense, but it seems like the NFC wins more (and even in the probowl) because they have some decent offense now. Where the AFC has legit no defense unless you are the dirty birds or the Steelers but that is becoming more back in the day than anything.

I thought Peyton was released because he kinda had FOUR NECK SURGERIES
    ---
Tony Gonzalez is the best tight end ever. Not Winslow SR., Gates, or Gronk are even close to being as good as him.
  • Jan 28, 2013 4:03 pm GMT
He was put on IR in 2011 for his neck injury

The FO decided that Andrew Luck gave them a better chance to win a championship than Peyton because he wasnt getting it done anymore.

I see the Pats picking up a TRUE number one receiver out of the draft or free agency. Im not saying an Aj Green or Calvin but a WR who can take advantage of single coverage

    Dwayne Bowe is garbage

Dude is a massive stat padder who only puts up numbers when his team is down 20 points

Plus, most of Cassel's and Quinn's picks came from throwing to Bowe

I don't even like the patriots frankly I hate them, but Brady won't be done with the patriots until he's not physically able to play. Tom Brady was drafted a patriot and will retire as such.

The patriots legit need a nasty WR. A deep threat or something. I thought Lloyd would of been a deep threat but NOPE lol

And it kinda sucks cause Lloyd was catching balls down a 40-50 yard stretch in 2 man coverage one handed. I am not sure if that is a brady's fault or if Lloyd just can't do it. I want to say its both but he never goes go routes anyway and Brady has been know to be a med-short passer mostly anyway. I can't even remember Brady ever throwing a nasty long ass pass. I mean LONG and have someone catch it. Not to say he can't but he never does or he over throws.

Brady is still a top 2 QB (right behind Rodgers), why would ANYONE get rid of a top 5 QB? The only reason Peyton got the boot in Indi is because they finished with the #1 pick and it was the perfect time to drop Manning and rebuild. Unless Belicheck gets the next potentially-elite rookie/young player he's not sending Brady anywhere.

why behind rodgers? lol people need to get off that guys **** he has only been to a couple playoff games and won only 1 superbowl. Yeah he a good QB but I wouldn't classfiy him to be #1 at all. He is #3 or 4 at best. Also brady puts up better numbers than him most of the time and doesn't have NEARLY as good wideouts.

TC---I don't know where to start. Let me just say this---everything you've posted is wrong. Everything!

first off, Peyton was not CUT from the Colts

He had 4 neck surgeories and was in his mid 30's. Half of ESPN said he'd be a failure after the surgeory. There were also reports he had the arm of a noodle and couldn't throw the ball very far once he started practicing for the 2012 season

Andrew Luck was all ESPN talked about. In fact, like three games into the 2011 season, ESPN was already announcing who'd get the "Luck of the draw for this years lottery" of getting the Standford QB. Nobody was talking about RG3. No one gave a **** about RG3 until very late into the college season. He was barely getting a second look from mock drafts even after winning the Heisman. In fact, for a while, Matt Barkley was talked about more than RG3

Curtis Painter, the backup QB demonstrated that the Colts organization was an aging roster full of depleted talent. They won 2 games that year. 2. The Colts owner Irsay wanted to rebuilt the entire organization. From the coaching staff to the QB

Peyton would be owed something really huge like 30 million dollars, the Colts were in such shambles they released Peyton because it was too huge of a risk paying a qb that much after 4 neck surgeories, they did it like a week or two before his major contract stipulated he be paid a huge amount of money. Even if he was back, he's in his mid 30's. They didn't cut Peyton because he sucked, they cut him because they needed to rebuild. Notice how like everyone was a rookie on the offensive side of the ball?

The Colts didn't think, "herp derp, Andrew Luck has a better chance of taking us to the AFC championship"

They were shocked to even win 8 games this year. Andrew Luck right now isn't even half of what a Peyton Manning from 4 neck surgeories is. By your logic, Peyton should spend the rest of his NFL life playing for the Billls before retiring
