    NFL News (Probowl Week):
    - Shut Down, Shut Up: Senior Bowl showoff Arik Casher, a cornerback out of Texas, returned an interception for a touchdown after scouts suggested he move to safety.
    - Idaho DE Kooper Cosbert had three sacks in a very impressive Senior Bowl performance.
    - Butler QB Danny Martens is a curious one for a lot of NFL teams, and after phone calls from his coach, they've promised to take a look at him.
    - Not many coaches get the opportunity to go to the Super Bowl in their first year with a team, but H.D. Pat is not like other coaches.

I am staying away from Arik Casher. He's had too much of an up and down season, cares too much about analysts, and is a showoff. That type of player wouldn't fit my team even with all of his natural ability. Quite a shame. I would have taken him first overall if this league was based on talent alone.

Kooper Cosbert has gone from slams to sacks. I am all about this "kid." I put it in quotes because he has some age (26 years old) due to his late start from the wrestling ring to the football field. However, I think he could instantly contribute. Lets hope he slides down in the draft because of his age, but I doubt that will happen -- A 28 year old QB was drafted in the first round last year by the name of Brandon Weeden. Who wouldn't want Hulk Hogan on thier defensive line?! I believe the Chiefs fans could be Kooper-maniacs.

My scouting consultant L. Father wants this franchise to go in another direction at QB. With no potential of getting Austin Duncan and the success of Matt Cassel, I might be able to use a late round pick on a QB. Danny Martens would be the guy I'd go after. He has the right size, smart, and just needs a little development. If he's around in the 4th or 5th round, I might take him.

You said in the beggining that your O-line was a concern. even though you've been a force with Jamaal Charles, I'd tr to upgrade your Offensive line. also, I feel like you should draft a QB higher. I know you're desired QB is out of reach but seeing Cassell's history of struggle would make me draft a QB in the 2nd-3rd round.

Cool, if you take Martens make sure you listen to his storyline commentary... It's hilarious/horrible. lol

If you do load it up to operation sports, give me a link or keep updating it here. I've followed this from start to finish and it would be a major buzzkill if I didn't get to read about the Super Bowl. Happy New Year!

"Mike's on! He's ready to go! On the Fan! New York sports radio! Mike's on! Mike's on!"

Mike's on! With Mike Francesa on 660 AM WFAN New York

Mike Francesa: We are coming up to the 5 o'clock hour on a special Super Bowl football Friday program. I'm here with the head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs, H.D. Pat. Well, you really took the NFL by storm this year. How are you today, H.D.?

H.D. Pat: Excited. Thanks for having me on, Mike.

Mike Francesa: Well lets talk about these Chiefs. You came in here and completely turned a pathetic organization upside down. From one of the worst to one of the best. You really set the standard high for rookie head coaches..

H.D. Pat: HA! Well I don't know about any of that, Mike. I'm just getting my team prepared to bring home the championship.

Mike Francesa: Let's talk about your opponents, The New York Football Giants. They've won 2 of the last 5 Super Bowls and looking to make it 3 out of the last 6.

H.D. Pat: They're a well coached team. Tom Coughlin is a class act. And they've got very talented players in all the important positions. That defensive pass rush is great. But, I'd be a fool not to say Eli Manning. Two time Super Bowl MVP. The last thing I would like is the ball in his hands late in the game. But how about we start talking about the Chiefs, Mike?

Mike Francesa: That's fair, that's fair. What's the gameplan going into Sunday?

H.D. Pat: Simply stop the big plays on defense. The Giants live and die by the 20+ yard plays. We stop the big plays on defense and we'll win this game. So let's play good defense, pound that rock, and win the time of possession.

Mike Francesa: A big part of your running game is Jamaal Charles. Are you worried he might run out of gas soon with how much you're using him? This is a long season for someone who takes that many hits.

H.D. Pat: Jamaal is the heart and sole of our offense. He's a workhorse. Our success depends on him performing at his best. We ask a lot of him, but he's up to the challenge. He just needs to last one more week and he'll get a long, well deserved offseason.

Mike Francesa: You're not just a running offense. You've developed quite a passing game. And what a ressurgence of Randy Moss. 49ers drop him, but you pick him up. What a pick up.

H.D. Pat: Randy is a big part of our success. We brought him in to work out and the first thing he mentioned was winning a championship. I told him look no further because this is place where he will win one. And that's the mindset of this team. We're a team. We're not about individual performance or awards. We're about getting this Lombardi Trophey.

Mike Francesa: And how about Matt Cassel? There were talks of him being on the hot seat at the beginng of the year. Fast forward to February, he's AFC MVP and he's playing in the Super Bowl.

H.D. Pat: He's done everything we've asked from him. He was open to a run-first offense at the beginning of the season. Made the throws that he needed to do to win games in the season. Just all around, great veteran presense on our team. The QB is the face of the franchise.

Mike Francessa: Unfortunately that's about all the time we have. Thank you for coming on, Coach Pat.

H.D. Pat: Thanks for having me on, Mike.

Mike Francessa: Good, young coach right there. I hope the best for the Chiefs. We'll see what happens this Sunday. Going to be a close game.

    Super Bowl
Giants vs. Chiefs -- USER GAME, Giants Win 27-24 (OT)

    Scoring Summary:
    Quarter 1: 0 - 7
    Quarter 2: 7 - 10
    Quarter 3: 7 - 17
    Quarter 4: 24 - 24
    Overtime: 27 - 24

    It was over when...
Lawrence Tynes kicked a game winning field goal in overtime. I was unfortunate to lose the first Super Bowl ever to make it into overtime. I got the ball first in overtime, but went three and out. Eli Manning drove the ball down the field and did enough for Lawrence Tynes to win the game.

    Player of the game...
Not only did Eli Manning win the game in overtime for the Giants, but brought the game to a tie late in the fourth quarter.

    Player Statistics:

    Passing:
Eli Manning (QB, NYG): 154.3 QB Rating, 168 Yards, 3 TD, 72%
Matt Cassel (QB, KC): 152 QB Rating, 196 Yards, 3 TD, 80%

    Rushing:
David Wilson (HB, NYG): 139 Yards, 6.0 Avg, 1 TD
Jamaal Charles (HB, KC): 93 Yards, 3.6 Avg, 4 Fumbles

David Wilson (HB, NYG): 59 Yards, 2 Rec, 1 TD
Dwayne Bowe (WR, KC): 56 Yards, 3 Rec

Hakeem Nicks (WR, NYG): 44 Yards, 3 Rec

    Defense:
Tamba Hali (ROLB, KC): 11 Tackles, 3 TFL
Glenn Dorsey (RE, KC): 1 Sack
Jason Pierre-Paul (RE, NYG): 1 Sack
Justin Tyron (CB, NYG): 1 Sack
Justin Tuck (LE, NYG): 7 Tackles, 3 TFL
Mathias Kiwanuka (LOLB, NYG): 6 Tackles, 4 TFL

    Analysis:
This is not the way you want to end the season. We lost a hard faught battle. I took this personal. I'm really upset.

    NFL News:
    - The New York Football Giants are the world champions after a 27-24 win over the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl XLVII
    - Charles, The Scapegoat: It was a rough day for Jamaal Charles as he fumbled 4 times in a Super Bowl loss to the Giants.

    Post Super Bowl Press Conference

H.D. Pat: First and foremost, congratulations to the New York Football Giants. They were the better team today. Second, I am not here to answer questions. I just want to address the media about the game.
My message to the team is chins up and be proud of what they did. I'm proud of them. They played their asses off. Yes, we lost but this is not on them -- This loss is on me. I take full responsibility. My team didn't do anything wrong. It was my playcalling and gameplan. They executed everything I asked them to do. I repeat: this loss is on me.
Thank you for your time. I am looking forward to improving this team into next year.

Press #1: Coach, what about Jamaal Charles' fumbles? Is he the real reason you lost?

H.D. Pat: You watch your mouth. I said I'm not here to answer questions. This loss is on me. Jamaal Charles is a great running back. He put the ball on the ground, but it didn't turn into a single turnover. There is not a single player in that locker room who didn't perform to the best of his abilities and didn't do what was asked of him. We just didn't get a break. Good night.

    Gutting.

Nobody wants to see the Giants win again.

if i remember right this guy said at the beginning that we all just need to get a life and play the game ourselves instead of reading about another person playing the game, and yet here he is with about 80 posts on this topic, alot coming from him. I feel as if he is secretly enjoying this and trying to play it off as he doesnt.

I on the other hand have been enjoying this alot, keep up the good work TC
