Because that would mean that winning is more important than the game itself... Somebody never played sports as a kid I see...

I would argue that winning is almost as important as the sport, but this isn't a sport, it's Madden. If I had NFL talent and was stuck on a losing mentality team like Cleveland I'd have a mental breakdown and probably go through a mid-life crisis at 25. - Oct 2, 2012 11:14 am GMTLord_Selder posted...

Hmmm that must of been the mentality of the 0-16 lions

dont worry about this kid, hes prob one of the players that quits if hes going to lose - Oct 2, 2012 1:34 pm GMTThe point is, most people who play madden simply cannot mentally cope with the thought of losing, which is sad. If given the opportunity, most of them would find joy if the game simply asked them to press A button to pull up a screen saying "YOU WIN!" and give them a W lol.

New England Patriots(1-2)
Tom Brady: 4 TDS, 1 INTS, 887 YDS - Oct 2, 2012 4:15 pm GMTI haven't played online in over a year. I think I played Madden 12 online maybe twice. Either people are idiots that play cheap and always go for it on 4th down, or they just quit on you if they're down by a bit. I like to play fair and play like you would a standard football game, but the 17 year olds are too busy playing as the Eagles and running out of the pocket on every play. Nobody over the age of 14 should be playing like that, though the "community," and I use that term loosely, seems chock full of kids that are half my age.

GT: TYSPLOSION - Oct 4, 2012 12:59 pm GMTThe object of the game is to win. If someone going for it on 4th down every time gives them the best chance to win, then that's what they should do. These people are playing by the actual rules of the game, not by your personal made-up rules that don't matter to anyone but you.
http://www.sirlin.net/ptw-book/intermediates-guide.html
EDIT: And I'm not saying this applies to the TC, just to clarify. This is for people complaining about "cheesy tactics" and talking about made-up rules like no going for it on 4th down all the time, no nanos, no onside kicks unless down in the 4th, etc etc etc
If you don't want people to go for it on 4th down, stop them on 4th down. Give them an actual reason not to go for it, as it relates to the goal of winning the game within the real rules.

It doesnt matter if u stop them or not, theyre gonna for it either way... Becuz they think theyre too good at the game to actually think u can stop them... Then when u do it makes them want to do it again to prove a point that it was just a fluke - Oct 4, 2012 6:27 pm GMT_Rushdown_ posted...

Currently Playing RE Op. Raccoon City, Borderlands 2 - Oct 4, 2012 7:08 pm GMT/\ exactly then when you are up by 21 by the end of 1st QTR they quit, I hate playing with people like that cause it makes the game to easy when they fail so I quit in a game I like challenges, so you don't play like you are trying to win then i won't play you.
