A vast improvement over previous versions but still kinda broken.

Probably the best recent release of madden in the past couple of years. But some features still haven't been fleshed out and others fall short. Superstar mode still lacks any depth and doesn't really give a sports star experience. When compared to a game like NBA 2k11 superstar Madden's just feels old and nowhere it should, lacking much features. Franchise mode does have improvements such as changing your team off season, editing players ratings,and etc. Though it still has it's flaws. Such as a mandatory accelerated clock, poor player progressions that seems to be based on potential rating and age when it should be based on stats more, a draft system that during your season scouting doesn't tell you much of anything on draft picks, and a broken trade system that values players too high. For instance try trading 95 overall RB you could offer things such as a 90 MLB, 90 CB, 90 WR or even make one of those a first round pick and the cpu still refuses. But game play is awesome sure it could use a little work but it's hard to perfect a sports game. If EA addresses the problems I listed above through an update I'd have no problem at all giving the game a 9/10 . They also seem to try to improve game play through downloadable tuners. So in the future an update could improve the game play even more.
