Madden NFL 10 Developer Series: Pro-Tak Animation System

Not bad ^^ But i need a Gameplay view ..

After playing the demo, I can attest to the authenticity of the animations. Zooming in on instant replays to see all the finer points is awesome. So many aspects in this year's version, I am definitely getting it.

um yea.. i js want to say i think the game looks good this year. better than last year obviously but, yea starting look more and more familiar each year. i hope they've already started on madden 11. i've bought madden every year since 04 but i might rent this one first before i buy it just in case.

Backbreaker still looks better.... Getting sick of the Madden series.

Better still be able to truck people right over. I'm also hoping they improve the Superstar's and Franchise's detail and depth.

As long as the computer is smart and there are no cheesy ways to exploit the game I'll buy it, after it gets my realistic stamp of approval.

I always get the new madden but i always stop playing after 1-2 months.

These features sound pretty good. Gameplay seems to be covered, but what about player progression (especially for rookies)?

to make the game even more realistic like nfl 2k5 add a half-time show, and will the madden iq be on maden 10.

hmm. that plus an updated roster? somehow that doesnt seem like enough. if this is the rate at which they make their big improvements, I may have to wait til maybe madden 13 to really feel like a new game has been made.

If your biggest gameplay feature is based on how many over paid plastic armor wearing nimrods can tack onto each other and push from the bum, you have a problem.

If Madden had developed a system evolving the same animations and simulations like Euphoria, they would have a authentic realistic game.

for one 2k5 was better than madden 05 on the ps2, but to say that is is better gameplay wise than madden 09 on the ps3 no chance the technology alone makes it a better game. Yes, madden tends to just be churned out with minor tweaks with new rosters, but this year the graphics not only look a lot better, but the new tackling system will make this the closest football iteration ever. They finally listened to the gamers. Again, if you don't like madden don't buy it but EA won't give a crapcuz they could churn out poop and still blow most games out of the water in sales

I find it VERY hard to believe that you think NFL 2k5 is better play-wise and graphics wise than PS2 Madden 09. I never found the 2k series as intuitive as Madden. And what makes you say that the graphics are better? The character models had awkward shoulders and very strange movements. Bottom line is this: It looks like they're making this iteration of Madden exceedingly overhauled. Judge previous maddens all you wish, but hold your tongue on bashing Madden 10 until after it is released.

That's the thing it isn't crappy. Like you I was a big madden fan, but I decided to buy NFL 2k5 of the internet since they don't have in stores anymore and it was much better game play-wise and graphic-wise than Ps2 madden 09. It is also better game play-wise than PS3 Madden 09. It is a matter of perspective, now I see why you need competition because it will force EA to make madden really good.

Ok for all you cry babies complaining about the game don't buy it nobody cares if you don't buy it much less does EA. They're actually making it a better game and hopefully the best one so far. As for 2K5 i never played it and to be honest with you i don't want to either cause all you guys do is hype up crappy games all the time and make it seem like the best thing out.

Listen, it's wrong that Madden has a monopoly, and that they try to tweak the game just enough to keep users coming back. Such is capitalism. That being said, try and look on the bright side of things. It's a video game; video games are meant to be fun. Try and enjoy the madden series for what it's worth: The fact of the matter is that it's a decent football sim every year. For madden haters, if it makes you feel better, EA posted a $1 billion annual loss for 2009. Maybe that'll spark the need for a bigger overhaul to sell more games.

Directed to costlywar---- I understand your P.O.V. but, I have to COMPLETELY DISAGREE. I hated the 2K franchise didn't bring anything that Madden didn't and vice versa. The one thing I want to point out is that for 2 post now you have said No Postgame Highlights? Both NCAA and Madden 09 had those features! Please don't through out your mis-information when you only rent the game. By the way Halftime show? You care about Halftime shows? you must not like football

Its not so much of a complaint. Its the fact that every year its just tweaked. The players look a little better, add a feature "pro-tak"The comparison to the the 2K version was that, for that year, it was excellent, it was fun not only to play it, but to watch it. Friends come over and they saw and wondered why other sports games did not have the all the details. The technology was there. (at least for Visual Concept and Kush games) The newer version 2010 should be twice as nice. You paid alot of money for your new computer, car, etc... and you expect the bells and whitsles , your money's worth.. So say 6 months latter they announce that they have made Madden football with all the above plus half-time/post game highlights. So you have to whip out another $60 bucks. Then you realize that they had the technology, all along. Hello. Why do you think you purchased a better console. Because you wanted better games than Donkey Kong. Could you imagine buying a new console every year to accomodate the new games.That is the point. I will just rent it. Then next year see if wish list gets fullfilled. If you keep paying $60 year after year, then you are a fool.

thing's are warming up for madden 10 - the best one ever for the xbox 360 and ps2 console - another great madden game to add to my collection

man you people complain too much, this is already better than last years game, and move on 2k5 was ok, the physics were nice but the passing and defense was horrible! you were all hypnotized by that big fancy halftime show (there was an amazing amount of drops and throwing to a rb in the flats is out of the question, they usually fall behind the line or make an unneccessary catch. or if your in need of a TD just throw a deep route to T.O, plus the rating system was horrible, in that game Jevon Kearse was the fastest Eagles on the team, faster that Owens with an 88 speed and McNabb with a 82., and how did T.O. have a 100 overall? and how about the pointless crib? id rather collect madden cards again. i love the new gang tackling and PAs i just hope they fix the secondarys pass defense and play recognition, i hate when the cpu will be orvlowski from the lions and torch the eagles secondary for 350 yards, or when a runningback takes a sweep or toss and gets 5 yards out of the backfeild before your safetys realize its a run fix that and im sold, thast all i want, and give EA a break, theyre trying to make it a great game and i will get this the moment it comes out, if you dont like it dont complain and moan and groan and comment on it being a bad game when it hasnt even come out yet. if you dont like the madden franchise dont play it, and dont comment on it if your not even gonna get it. go play 2k5, by the way, im getting sick of hearing 2k, 2k 2k 2k, i played 2k5 a few days ago to see what the hype was and just like in 05, i liked madden more, 2k was a pretty game, its gameplay was really flawed. i agree with costlywar on 1 thing, this could have been done in madden 07 or so,a nd referees make thier first appearance in 10? thats a big detail to leave out 4 years huh?

NOT IMPRESSSED! Think about it, $60,that is alot of money for a game that has gang tackles, and tweaked players and more refs. These features should have been installed 2-3 games ago! There is no half-time or post game highlights. Fans look all the same. They are showing this from a side angle view. But if you look better, you can see the fans look clones again. Fans are a huge part of the game. Who do you think pays? This is 2010, hello? Again EA SPORTS football is very shallow.. This presentation is UNACCEPTABLE! Maybe rental.

this looks garbage did you see all those broken tackles it is not physically possible for that to happen. EA take a good game like NFL 2k5 and learn! Oh yeah to get change why not get rid of Ian Cummings and bring in some actual talent.

People are complaining about the improvements that they are making this year. I am kind of disappointed, but at the same time happy. I believe these improvements should have been already installed in the previous Madden games, but lets be honest. This year looks extremely promising. I think EA is finally getting the message, that people who know about the sport want a true to life, fun game. I like it. Atleast this year has the chance to be best Madden game on the x360 or ps3.

All of these years and we finally get bigger gang tackling? are you serious? how impressive. NOT! This could have been in madden 09 through an update or patch. You need to do more if you want that 60$
