First off I actually rated this game to be about a 7.0 before my horror story. My story: I spent a lot of time(3hrs) editing the players to my liking for franchise mode because the EA team obviously only rate popular players high but they rarely look at the stats of great players on lesser teams. I wanted to play online so the game prompted me to download the online roster to play online. I did and to my horror the game automatically saved the online roster really fast and over rid the 3hrs I put into my edited players with no warning. It simply over wrote my roster. I'm from new orleans and my team won the superbowl and that's the only reason I bought this game(2k5 fan).
The game play isn't that bad but anyone who played 2k5 would probably find madden 10 funny(Pro tak, referees and countless other over done things that were in 2k5). Unlike most 2k5 fans I own a lot of other EA titles which are awesome so I don't understand while we are stuck with a game that should of been made in 2006. Its obvious that you bought the espn license just to take it away from 2ksports who maximized it; that's disgusting. Its 2010 and every other genre is producing awesome games except NFL football. I'm gonna give this game away because it isn't worth selling. There are a lot of great games out there that I put on hold to win the superbowl with my saints.
Now I'm just going to get the games I was holding out on(yakuza 3, Uncharted 2, Bioshock 2 etc.)and give this game away. I just think its so sad that a company with so much history and experience would do gamers like this. I'm just happy I waited and bought this game for 22$ because at full price I would have been super pissed. I'm not going to hate to much because as long as fans buy your game at full price; who am I to complain. Get money EA sports. Get money with no effort. You all might as well be drug dealers.
