In madden 09 unlike 08 you can call your receivers routes by pointing the remote this is an easy way to make crazy plays.

On-line is fun but it has problems like when a player picks a team like the Steelers the'll probably beat a team like the Lions no matter what the skill level of each player. Also if a player is winning 14-0 the other player will usually quit meaning that the winner can choose 3 things (1) {don't count game} then the game never happend, but if you were winning you want a win on your record. (2) {count game} choose this and youll get points but no win. (3) {continue vs cpu} this is the only way to get the win but why would you want to play against the cpu if you went in online mode? how boring.


Passing controls are perfect. Defense controls are good. Running controls are hard because when you try to stiff arm in a game (swing remote left or right) your player usually does a hit-stick (swing remote forward) but after a few months you can get it down.

Whether your a madden fan or a wii sports guy you should get this game if you like football.
