Madden 09 is a pretty solid game. There are any modes of gameplay, and even of you don't want to play a real game, you can play one of four minigames included the Nintendo Ds version of this classic football videogame. There is a wide selection of teams and players to choose from, along with create-a-player and create-a-team options. The graphics for Madden are slightly better than the Nintendo 64 graphics for Madden 99, so if you are looking for a graohics powerhouse, this isn't exactly the game for you; however, if you are looking for a fun football game to keep you entertained while playing as your favorite team, this game is for you. The recommended age group is probably 12-45. I was surprised at the amount of customization allowed n this game. You can make plays, tournaments, seasons, and more with the right amount of patience. At times, Madden 09 is a little "buggy," like when you throw it to your player, the ball sometimes goes through his hand and he still doesn't catch it. This can lead to some frustration and yelling while others around you either snicker or act like they never knew you. The audio of Madden 09 was pretty bad, but who says you need sound to play footbal? The amount of features that were crammed onto the Ds card is shockingly high. There is even wifi to play against people around the world. Madden 09 Ds is not as good as the console versions, but it still is respectable. I recommend it for those who like football.
This is one game you'll want to take along with you on a trip, especially if you are travelling with someone else who has a Nintendo DS. I am amazed at the amount of stuff they were able to cram into one small game pak. ... Read Full Review
