A good solid FUN Madden game!
Now after all that time i had curiosity on THIS Madden...dunno why, but that's just how it is I guess....
The moment i played this game and started the BE A SUPERSTAR, dude i totally got extatic and on full-throttle!! This game (IMO) simply ROCKS! it remainds me of the Madden and Joe Montana Football back then on the GENESIS and TECMO BOWL on the NES and SNES, which was 100% fun! man am really hooked!
Everything is solid..the manager mode, be a superstar, and whatever else is in there is great...but like i said because am coming back to the Madden series, probably am more exited than most of the common Madden fans, that have played it year after year...
The upside
- gameplay & fun factor - the controls really respond - audibles really work well
The downer
- to be an EA game, it has the poorest soundtrack...a couple of good songs and that's it, but probably that reflects how bad quality rock bands and rappers are right now.
What remains the same
- Graphics are good, nothing that will blow you away...but the movement on the players is great - on the same subject, sometimes the screen will freeze for a few seconds during in-game menus...but this won't hamper the experience... you will notice it, but the moment you do, it starts to roll like nothing happend - the sound is like any football game out there
So because i remaind away from it, am really enjoying going back to it...now don't think for second that because this game is great, am rollin in to buy Madden 08! Madden 08 is clearly a more enjoyable experience on PS3 and XBOX360, on the PS2 is just a recycle edtion of this one.
So my recommendation, buy '07 instead of '08, controls are tight and gameplays makes you want to comeback for more...and if you are someone who has bought all the maddens on PS2 since 2001 then simply skip it and buy a PS3 and play 08!
