One of the better movie based video games out there

The Madagascar series (consisting of 2005's Madagascar and 2008's Escape 2 Africa) are one of Dreamworks' most popular franchises. Both Madagascar and Madagascar 2 are solid films, both in the family and comedy genre. Th... Read Full Review

WHAT?! Why did they do that to Madagascar?

Okay, let's get things straight. This game has nothing to do with the film at all. I mean....what have they done? They should have made the game directly BASED on the movie. How can this game have some characters that ar... Read Full Review

    Great game

OK, for starters, Madagascar for the Xbox is a good game although I've played the PS2 version also, but, not the whole game on the PS2, in this game you play as Alex, Marty, Melman, Gloria and the Penguins from-time-to-t... Read Full Review

Overall, the video game of Madagascar is a fun game, but it's easiness and shortness drop it a few points.

Madagascar puts you in the role of 4 different characters: Alex the Lion, Gloria the Hippo, Melman the giraffe and Marty the zebra. The game is based on the film of the same name, and, overall, is a worthwile gaming expe... Read Full Review

    madagascar!

You would think that since most movie games stink, then Madagascar is bad too, right? Wrong! This game actually was pretty good. The graphics were nice and detailed. The platforming was cool. What I liked was that the ga... Read Full Review

Erm.... This is the GBA game but on DS.

Got this waaaaaay back in 2005(along with Pac-Pix), & I am really bored of it. I mean, this is basically the GBA version, but on the DS with touch screen controls. You move around collecting coins & killing enemies & avo... Read Full Review

Better than Shrek 2, that is.

I didn't buy this game myself, I got it. But I didn't really want it either, so that's one reason why I can't say if I'm disappointed or not. Anyway, this can be compared a little with Shrek 2: -It folows the story, b... Read Full Review

Great game for younger players. Easy, step-by-step type of game.

That i got for me and my kids. Its good for younger players (like 5-8 years old) because its easy and it kind of spoon feeds you along each step on what to do and how to do it.... the graphics are mediocre, the controls ... Read Full Review

Madagascar is a funny game, but it's way too short.

So, first the movie, now the game. Actually they're both very funny, but the game is way too short like i said. It took me less than 5 hours to finish it. Anyway i can't be too critic about it because it was verry funny ... Read Full Review

Actually a very fun diversion that keeps the whimsy of the movie 89% intact.

I got this game as a gift in 2004, and I absolutely got addicted. In a Mario-style platformer with the story and characters of the fantastically funny movie Madagascar, you play as Alex the lion, Marty the zebra, Gloria ... Read Full Review
