Good for mecha fans but harder if you aren't a mecha fan.
The good
-Good voice acting.
-Great gameplay.
-The Frontier units make everything easy.
-You can toggle through robot, GERWALK and jet mode.
-Easy controls.
-Works like the Gundam battle series.
-Anime accurate models.
The bad
-Frontier units are too powerful.
-The Frontier storyline can get too easy.
-Some issues with targeting.
-You can't regain life points.
Macross Ace Frontier works alot like the UC Gundam battle series but gives us the transformation technique for the Variable fighters, allowing us to either be a normal robot, a GERWALK which is a funny thing with the plane's wings and up but the legs are still operational and jet mode for high manuverbility. However, unfrotunatley, you can't even regain health which means you have to struggle to win. Also, you can challenge CPUs with your own robot and have a deathmatch or a team deathmatch. Another source of free play is doing some special stages. Macross Ace Frontier is a good game but you would possibly like it more if you are a mecha fan.
