Budget means nothing.

My friend recommended me to play Machinarium, and I'm thankful he did. At first I was a bit skeptical, just because it is running as a flash game. But once I had played it for about an hour, it became so addictive, I just couldn't stop. The first thing that made me to notice that this game could be great was the incredible art style.

Graphics - Well, there's not much to talk about - everything looks hand-drawn and very beautiful. Total eye candy.

Sound and Music - Music is absolutely stunning - it sets the mood perfectly. One of the best scores I've heard in a videogame. The so called voice acting is just a few sounds, but it perfectly fits the characters.

Gameplay - The game is point-and-click game, that consists only of puzzles and exploration can sometimes leave you scratching your head for hours only to discover that you haven't noticed something that you've been passing all this time. The only thing that makes this game hard is that you can't see which objects are clickable, which makes some puzzles frustrating. But it adds challenge to this game, and without it, game could be finished in about an hour. The puzzles are very varied, and some of them (especially the one towards the end) could ask more than an hour to complete them

Presentation - This game is phenomenon - it completely lacks menus or even dialogue, but at the same time - you can understand completely everything. So, that's not a bad thing for this game - it just makes it as simple as possible, and it's great.

Replay Value - Not much to come back for, but the brain-twisting puzzles will definitely keep you thinking even after the fifth playthrough. The only bad thing about this game is that it is too short, but I think that it's also a good thing, because it's just impossible to get tired of this game.
