Highly-addictive clash of fast-paced puzzle game and intense music.

User Rating: 9.1 | Lumines: Oto to Hikari no Denshoku Puzzle PSP
Anyone that has played an active puzzle game knows the addictive nature of mastering a strategy to blow through hours of game. Progressively getting faster and more complex as the limits of your concentration are pushed to the limits. Now imagine an up-beat sound track that is wildly immersive, beautifully assembled and flawlessly adapted to the speed of the game. Then a while into the game you realize that every single move that you make with a puzzle piece is creating beat and tone to the music, unique to each individual level's background track. What does all of this mean? It means a puzzle game that is not only one of the most simple yet ingeniously difficult tests of reflex and concentration the industry has seen, period, but also an auditory feast that will make you lose complete track of hours at a time.

The gameplay does get quite difficult, especially in vs. cpu mode. Yet this is where such an amazing soundtrack really shines through. Because the music blends so seamlessly with the gameplay, it actually enhances your focus and allows your true raw skill to come through.

Easily one of, if not THE best puzzle game ever. If you own a PSP, go buy Lumines. You'll be mad at the $3.99 you spend to rent it when you realize you MUST own this game.
