An innovative game, that should be played to kill some time.

Of all the debut titles for the GameCube, this is clearly the best. Luigi's Mansion is a shallow game, and is capable of being completed in a few hours.

The gameplay is incredibly creative. You use a vacuum called the Poltergust 3000. The vacuum is used to suck in ghosts, who have health. Ranging from the lowly 0, all the way to a colossal 500. The vacuum does take a little getting used to, but is pretty fun to use.

The graphics are quite brilliant, like other GameCube games. Luigi is very well detailed, and Nintendo really paid attention to detail here. The game doesn't suffer from any frame rate issues, and the animation has no problems.

The music is alright, nothing too much special. The sound effects are consistent, and the only voice-acting pretty much, is for Luigi, who really only says "Marioooo?".

The replay value is probably one of the worst I've ever seen. After beating the game, that's it. Nothing else. You can try the Secret Mansion by choosing the same file you used to defeat the game. The Secret Mansion is like a v2.0. More difficult, but not much else.

Overall, if you're looking for a short game to keep you entertained for a short time, this game fits perfectly.
