This is a good game as long as you play without the driving aids.

I've been waiting for this game for a while due to the capability to race the classic 60's, 70's, and 80's Lotus cars ( as well as modern ones). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is a very good game as long as you play without the traction control system and are willing to take the time to learn how to use the breaks properly to prevent yourself from skidding into the walls. You have to be light on the breaks; this could detract those that are used to hitting them and the throttle all the way in other racing games. In fact, as long as all driving aids are taken off, I feel that the physics model is second only to Dirt to Daytona for Gamecube driving games (I have not played F1 2002). ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------The tracks, although a bit sparse graphically, are some of the best designed of any racing game I've played. They consist of every kind of challenge that you could hope for in a realistic racing game. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Note: the challenge mode offers two different drivers. It's not noticeable at first but each one consists of different challenges. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------My complaints about the game: horrible replay videos; no car stats or Lotus history period; no tweaking of settings available; never play with the driving aids they're really bad; AI could use some improvement; Formula 1 cars should be divided up further into divisions; being able to choose cars opponents drive would be nice; no online play (yes I know it's Gamecube were talking about). ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Overall it's a fun racing game. May not be the best but the tracks and physics keep you on you toes.

Just to add a little note that should be included in all driving game reviews; the compatibility with the Driving Force force feedback wheel is surprisingly solid and greatly improves the quality of the driving experience. To the few that own this wheel Lotus Challenge should be given a shot.
