Lost Saga isn't an RPG and I think that helps it a lot in the MMO market. The characters you'll play are in the form of a bunch of different heroes with such people as the Tao Warrior, Shadow Assassin, or Fire Mage, as well as a bunch of others with new heroes being added all the time. Each character has their own set of skills and a playstyle to suit them best meaning you'll find a character that fits your style pretty easily.
You aren't really at a disadvantage for downloading the game later than others.Game types are varied enough that if you just want to be a loner or play with teams you'll find a type for you.
Deathmatch: Your standard match where its you against everyone else in the room battling it out for kills.
Team Deathmatch: Deathmatch now in a group setting.
Prisoner: Team Deathmatch with a twist, when HP reaches 0 instead of being KO'ed you're tied up and held prisoner until a team mate can rescue you. The object is to capture the opposing team.
Boss Rush: An individual game where one person in the room is declared the boss and does more damage, his job is to kill everyone else and get more powerful while everyone tries to kill him.
In addition to these there are Faction battles where players can earn points towards their faction and win ig money when the time period ends.
Lost Saga isn't without its flaws though, there isn't really a ton of different maps so if you're looking for verity in that you'll be disappointed. However you can easily play a match in 10 minutes, how many other MMOs can you do something like that an not feel like you just tinkered around with your inventory?
