I played this back around it's release date long ago and found it an interesting game back when I was in search of a decent game to play. The graphics are alright, the game play is smooth, and the storyline isn't half bad. I think it does require getting used to the system a little seeing as you have a deck of attacks, 'summons', and then monsters that walk around the field with you until the card burns out. That said, you can't attack anything yourself and if you run out of cards by carelessly tossing them out, you're pretty much set to meet your end. Overall though, if you have the patience, the time, and enjoy some decent fantasy, this would be a good game to rent. My only really major irk with it was that it was too short for my liking, but I think a lot of games have become that way since the dawn of Game cube and the other current gen systems.
