Luck can play too great a role in who wins. If you like card games, its not bad

The single player game doesnt offer any game variation variety and the computer regularly makes REALLY dumb moves unless one picks hard difficulty. And it doesnt help that the pictures on the cards (that represent the different lost cities) are so small you cant really see the pics. Having said all of that, its still a fun game to play a few hands. the developers made sure that one can see the value of the different cards, even if the screen over all is surprisingly bland and free of animation.

But the biggest weakness of this card game is that sheer dumb luck can allow one to win a hand. If you play lots of hands, you begin to see the pattern where luck too greatly determines the winner. There are strategies you can employ but even those strategies are largely based on one hoping for a particular card. You can fake out your opponent by playing cards that will make him think you want certain cards, which will then make him waste a few turns but that isnt going to work against the computer AI. The game counts the number of turns left but this number is misleading -- what it SHOULD do is tell you how many turns I have to play. The problem is that it isnt unusual to see that there are 3 turns left but I'll only be able to play 1 card. The developers should have figured this out before release of the game and its a simple thing.

I like these types of games generally but the inherent simple gameplay makes it difficult to heartily recommend it.
