Not even a flock of Seagulls could ruin it.

This management sim had me scrambling for my controller as quick as lightning. The stats and recorded information had me gagging for air and the detail of clubs, players and of course tournament histories meant that this was a game to take seriously. The graphics are a big miss but a managment sim doesn't have to rely on the graphics so that was a small glitch but the gameplay has you hooked and making your own dream team (unfortunately with a budget) means that you can fully take control of the backroom decisions (sponserships, stadium building and hiring/sacking coaches) to the proper transfer window buys and things smooth out over a course of time when you get to know which player will do well in your side or badly (either from prevous saved games or scouts).
Scouts play a big part in the game and your players bought in can be asscessed first and of course it spells out if they are good for the club, or bad.) If you need somone in your side a lower league side could pretty much go one step further with Swansea's Lee Trundle or **** Kevin Sharp in the squad. However there are dead wood and Nick Barmby (Hull) and Peter Beagrie (Scunthorpe) are both class players but very old and will only play one or (if your lucky) two seasons, so the age is a factor too. I don't know the limit of seasons but I'm on my 5th and still enjoying the game and it's qualities it brings to gamers. A good steal. Worth buying.
