This game is great. Its just the lack of different game mechanics and a interesting, and deep story keep it down.

Let me start of by saying a 7 means I liked it, I just didn't love it. It is fun, but it lacks gameplay mechanics. All I ever found my self doing is walking back and forth, jumping, grabbing sponges, and pressing the occasional button (in-game, your obviously always pressing buttons on the ps3 controller) The single-player lacks a deep story, in fact it's hard to tell there is one at all. I doubt they spent to much time on this story mode. But there is something to be offered by the multiplayer. While half the time I seemed to be spawning as a spectator, rather then a player, when I did come into an online game, it was very fun. Another thing worth mentioning is if you want a fun experience from the single-player, you might want to find a friend to sit down and play it with. Multiplayer level design is unneeded, although if it didn't have level designer, this game wouldn't have been nearly as good as it is. It's fun to play through your own and others level creations. Other things I enjoyed was the pretty much ever-expanding character customization. You find different shirts, hats, pants, and other accessories for your sackboy or sackgirl. You can even find new material for your character to be made out of. The ability to move your arms and hands freely in-game, either just to be funny or to use it strategy wised, was a nice touch, too. This game is like Mario on steroids. That being said, this game is not worth $60-$50, however, if you can find it somewhere for $40 or less then you should definitely treat yourself to picking it up.
