Little Nemo is a great 2D platformer, with very good gameplay, and instant childhood memories.
For thsoe of you who dont know, little nemo was originally a comic book in the 30's. WHy capcom took the time to make it into a game I don't know, but im glad they did. You play as a little boy named Nemo who goes to a strange world in his sleep. The game takes place over 8 nights, in which you play through in Nemo's dreams. You go throguha mushroom forest, a train, underwater, a sky city, and eventually hte ngihtmare world to stop the final boss form turnign everyone's dreams into ngihtmares. When you think about it, its like a megaman sort of thing, just iwhtout the minibosses,a nd dr. wily.
However the game is very differant formt he blue bomber, becuase Nemo doesn't have a mega buster. Nemo is armed only with candy which he can use to stun small enemies. Buit, the candy is mainly used to feed specific creatures which help nemo on his quest. There is a mole which can go through certian types of ground, a lizard which nemo can ride upon, a big gorilla which can knock out enemies, along with others. These creatures are needed to help nemo on his quest.
The game's challenges are nicely done. Its not so muych puzzles, but more of survival. The cnady cannot kill all the enemies, mainly certian types of creatures can. So you have to run to a ceeature, before a big enemy gets you. Also, you have to avoid spike sint he udnerwater level, and block sint he train level, which can also be challanging. The game isn't overlly impossible, but it does ahave a great amount of challanges.
The score to little nemo: Dreammaster is a good one. Capcom always has good music in their nintendo games, and Nemo had his share of it. Not as good as Megaman 2, but very god msuic. My favorite song comes from the nightmare world.
Nemo doesn't only use candy. When you get to the nghtmare world, he can use a ceptor which can knock out enemies, and is needed to stop the final boss. Its about time he defends himself eh?
Overall little nemo: dreamamster is a great game. It combines fun side scrolling aciton,a long iwht good music, and charming gameplay. I reccomend you play this game, isntad of seeing the movie which was a bit dissapointing. Little nemo: dreammaster is one of those few games which bring back golden memories of an 8-bit childhood.
