Gameplay – Little King's Story plays out a lot like Pikmin. Personally, I enjoyed this more, due to having a large interest in history. Of course, this game isn't at all historically accurate, but it's still medieval, which I like. You have to buy expansions to your kingdom, which starts out as a village and soon becomes a really large kingdom. It will fit over 200 people, and you can take 30+ of them with you at any given time, if you have bought the army expansions (they allow you to take more people in your group). There are also lots of great monsters, and some of the most epic boss battles of all time. The game is charming, to say the least. Our King of Alpoko is a bit of a "playa", what with him dating multiple princesses at once. The only bad thing is that the game is brutally hard at times, but it does make you a better RTS (Real-Time Strategy) gamer. Unfortunately, the game starts really slow, and you'll have to push yourself to get past the first hour or two until you really start enjoying this game.

Graphics – The graphics are spectacular and colourful, with only the occasional problem with the frame-rate occurring. They're well-shaded, and it looks almost like a cartoon, and the cut-scenes are spectacular.

Length – Now, if you go for speed and don't spend time enjoying customizing your paintings on your castle, and collecting everything there is to collect, etc.... You'll probably finish it in about 17 hours or so. If you are like me, you will spend 25+ hours on this game, just trying to get 100% and find every monster, special spot, etc.... to charm your princesses.

Storyline – The story is actually great. The cut-scenes are hilarious, and the commentary throughout the game is hilarious as well.

Sound – This game has a more calming sound-track, but occasionally you'll get a really catchy medieval tune to listen to while you venture the worlds.

Controls – The controls were just okay. The camera was actually kind of not great, but I didn't have the same control issues as some people – but that's not to say they weren't troubling at times.

Multi-player – A multi-player mode would be great if there were a Little Kings' Story – or a Little King's Story 2.

OVERALL:

This was probably one of my most-hyped games of 2009, and it delivered! Although I found it hard to get into, once I did, I actually was playing all the time! There is so much to do and collect, and watching your kingdom grow feels so real. The boss battles are miles ahead of the boss battles in No More Heroes, in my opinion. This game is superb.
