Every minute of this game is worth every penny.
No comparisons here but LIMBO is simply a great game to play. You will be suprised how good the graphical 'Black and White' design of the game has and how well the animation smoothly fits in.
LIMBO puts you into a world of dark and mysterious things that come across. It is a 2D platform game that is all about survival and getting to the end without having to die. There a various of ways to die in this game; from drowing to getting electrocuted or getting impaled by a huge spider should do the job. It may look punishing dying in the game but thank god the game has such a player-friendly checkpoint system. This is a puzzle game and it can become frustration at some point but it is all about 'Trail and Error', you learn from the mistakes you made and you will be like 'Oh right thats how you do', honestly its such a good feeling.
This adds challenge which most people want in the game. The best thing you will encounter in LIMBO is that there is so much to expect next and anything can happen throughout the journey. It is like a massive adventure and you have to survive to win.
At the beggining of the game you wake up in a deserted forest and thats where the game starts, using various of clever techniques for puzzles and traps: this game is polished enough to become a complete classic.
The only downside to this game is that is quite short (5-6 hours long) but you do have the achievements that add a robust amount of replay value towards its overall length. No matter how short the game can be you are most likely to play another playthrough or two to experience the same adventure but better.
Yes this game is worth every penny, 1200 MP for a wonderful puzzle experience is probably the chance to play one of the best game to date.
