I like how square has been trying to use the failed FF13 to test mechanics/ recoups costs. This game ends the story of FF13 fairly well and hopefully the knowledge they gain can help them recover the suffering Final Fantasy brand.
The battle system of the game is has too much difficulty on major bosses, and the side bosses are actually easier, this is something that should never be in any game. Extras should be challenging but clearing the story should be possible without pin point timing and refined skills. The battle system is interesting, but the time to get the hang of the mechanics of it and use them skillfully is just too high.
The story is amazing, a little confusing but by doing side quests and the main story things get more clear, the progression of 13, 13-2 all get explained by it and in my opinion 7/10 as well (watch the ending closely, if you played the other games you might see the very hidden link of them all).
