Wouldn't it be cool if this game's secret ending was a tie in to Versus XIII?

I'm not sure, Aya. All I know is that you shouldn't carelessly toss aside TC's innocent question just because "it's not how it works". Tell me, how the ^@&£ is it supposed to work, just have Lightning with a big smile on her face and leave it like that?

I'm sorry, but I thought this was what we would want as an individual. I would want what I just said, if you don't, then by all means state what you would like instead, I'm not going to stop you.

And nobody would be making you do anything, let alone pay $60. Either don't watch it, or just wait for the inevitable YouTube upload like a day afterwards.

I definitely think a trailer or demo would be a great idea. LR seems to be a blueprint for Versus anyways, so it'd be cool if we could play as Noctis and walk around some of the environments the game has to offer. Maybe that's what TC meant by a tie-in, as it's a foregone conclusion that XIII's story would be complete and the tie-in already exists as a result of the FNC myth. Also, XIII-2 was apparently meant to tie-in with Type-0.

TC seems to be a nice person, and doesn't deserve such mean retorts. I scorn people that do deserve it, like zodiac (for being a self-righteous, self-centred balloon who doesn't even attempt to respect the very idea that somebody might express an opinion different to his) or mada (for being a demented fangirl who wishes for nothing more than to satisfy her own gluttony). I'm not a great person either, but I know an arse when I see one.

It would be win/win, Square would sell more copies as a result of the announcement, and we'd finally get some info on Versus. It'd also suggest that they were to focus on Versus next, as opposed to another XIII-? game like the majority of whiners think is going to happen.

Equivalent exchange. These people are pouring loads of money into developing something they hope you might like. so in return all they ask is for your investment. It's stupid and pointless to be a taker in a co-operative business, any entrepreneur worth his salt knows that you must never be competitive with your customers, and the same goes for the customers too.

1. I didn't mean making per se. I think is a dick move to attach Vs trailer to something that has to be bought.

2. On the subject of Youtube uploads, wouldn't they defeat the only purpose on the tie in trailer. Cut out the middleman and release the trailer online.

I'm pretty sure Square would upload the trailer themselves a week or two after the game is released. I don't think it would defeat the purpose, the trailer would still make a greater amount of people purchase it, as they may not have internet connection, or might not want to wait for the trailer to be uploaded. This could also be a dealbreaker for those that are on the fence about the game.

If it was a demo, it still wouldn't be defeated by the YouTube uploads, because I'd rather play a demo than watch it.

I'm not saying you should agree with me, this is just what I would like from the subject TC is mentioning.

How do not understand why this is stupid?

We're bombarded with free trailers for video games, in fact there is a site called gametrailers. We've gotten several free trailers for Vs in the past. So this idea of "we have this trailer, but you have to by this game for it" screws us over big time. Not a good idea if you don't want angry customers.

Add that to the fact that the trailer would end up online, You probably won't see an increase in sales with this tactic.

Also there is no equivalency in that exchange. You're basically buying an ad for the game.

I bet you be sing a different tune if the LR trailer was attached to a game purchase.

It's already confirmed there won't be alternate or secret endings of any sort in this game.

It was confirmed there was one ending, doesn't mean the ending can't continue after the credits roll.

More than one time i thought it would be very cool if Lightning ends up being the new Etro (it's definitely possible), making a cameo appearence in Versus.
Nothing big of course, but i would love a cameo like this
