What is the most overrated FF.

My personal fav is 8. Is 8 over rated? not by a long shot, is it under rated? very much so.

lets look at 7 then, 7 over rated? No not really, it came out at the perfect time and re-directed the way RPG's were going. In other words, it isn't over rated it re-modernized the RPG genre and in such gained such a huge fan base that to be blunt, get nostalgia boners when they think about it.

So what about 9 then? 9 was a great game in its own right, it tried to re-vamp the system again, did it succeed? No it didn't as much as they would have liked it to. Was it a good game tho, yes yes it was.

What of 10 then? 10 was a great game by all means. It re-vamped the system even more. Voice acting, facial features, compelling story and one of the best mini games ever in any FF *blitzball, and yes i also loved card fighting too*

What of 11 and 14 then? Lets just say those never existed and move on. 14 was so bad they scrapped it till they could re-launch it. and 11 was a half way decent MMO with the exception it had to compete with WoW and it was such a grindfest that its population dwindled but didn't disappear luckily. With 14's re-vamp and re-launch we'll see how well it goes as an MMO again.

12 then, 12 was so open world and no one gave to ****s about the chars because there wasn't even a clear villian or main char to care about. The gambit battle system basically played the game for you and made it so you could pick and choose your battles instead of random encounters which was an improvement but at the same time a major drawback because you could get stuck in a part of the game where you were too weak to continue on so you had to back track and spend hours grinding out levels you would normally have had through random encounters.

what of 13 then? Story line ? decent enough but not compelling or epic in any sense. game play? extremely linear and their battle system played the game for you all you had to do was push x button and swap up roles. and was an extremely linear game. 15 hours game play, 20 hours of CG movie watching.

13-2 then? same as 13, decent story same battle system that played the game for you. wasn't that linear but still had a steady path set out before you. Only 2 playable chars which imo hurt the game severely.

And let us go backwards now.

What of 6? 6 was great, great chars, great story, great game play, great everything. Is it over rated tho? No, under rated ? No. It is also the only FF where the villain accomplished his goals. Kefka destroyed the world and ran providence over it. Also where else was there a villain who poisoned an entire village just because?

5 then? 5 was a decent game, half lacking in story and char development due to there being quite a few of them but decent nonetheless.

4 then? 4 was a great game. Cecile was one of the hero's that came through and who could forget Rosa and the twins alongside Kain?

3. I don't remember to much of the original 3 so I wont speak on it Onion Knights IIRC

2. Same as 3, i dont' remember playing it too much.

1. I didn't enjoy this game one bit to be honest, it could also be because i didn't play it until around 2003 and just didn't like it.
