- Feb 18, 2013 8:14 am GMTI'm reading Gameinformer and they said " lightning wakes up with 13 days remaining before the apocalypse. an accelerated in game clock counting down the minutes is you explore the world andcomplete quest. This means that players need to manage their time to accomplish as much as possible before the countdown reaches 0."
The ****?

Yeah, nothing makes me wanna replay a game more than the thought of being rushed. Bah.

That's is correct. Mainly the game can be beaten in one playthrough, but you will have multiple playthoughs to explore. It would be similar to Lightning DLC where you fight and explore and you also keep the levels you gain. Also you could like not even try to save the world and do nothing till the countdown reach zero but you won't be going anyway that way.

Versus XIII is coming in 2014, GTA5 will be awesome, and PS4/Xbox 720 is coming in Dec. Lightning Return will be super awesome and I don't care what you think! - Feb 18, 2013 9:43 am GMTI see nothing wrong with having a time limit. It makes you have to think your actions through before executing them, if you do something wrong you don't get another chance. Lazy gamers, don't expect this to be like XIII-2, where the game does everything for you!

It has nothing to do with being lazy, FF XIII was lazy, Auto battle much. If LR only has time limits on missions, then im fine with it. But not when you're just walking around to explore. Its a RPG for beep sake! RPGs are made to explore and do sidequests. I dont want 2 day game! Seems like its going to be rushed and Tori uses the time limit as a excuse. People have the right to be optimistic but SE is screwing us over and the Lightning fanboys all skip like happy go lucky and say, 'ooooh, im optimistic for this game, SE is fine' My only request is that the clock has to be loooong. And that you can add very looooooong hours to the doomsclock. Or else im not interested. Im not going to settle with half arsed SE games. Neither should you.

When i fall in the water, i dont get wet. Water gets me. SE's loss sales pleases me, Maybe they'll start hearing the fans for once.......who am I kidding ? - Feb 18, 2013 9:56 am GMTWhat ever nuck. I will stand for this game. Lack of exploration? I can explore whatever I want. You don't have to save the world. It's not like there is that much as a world to explore anyway.

I used to stand for this game. But im taking it with a grain of salt. Stop defending Lightning. XIII was good
XIII-2 was less linear.
Not waiting for a third game but ill try to get into it. SE needs to give us games we actually care about!!

Start playing older FF games, then come back to us. Lets see if you praise Lightning as much afterwards.

So basically all of the talk of "Open World" and increased interactivity is a bunch of hot air and nothing but window dressing, then. Meaning they learned absolutely nothing from the past two entries.

If you're referring to Majora's Mask: That game had the benefit of being able to reset time if you screwed up and didn't force you to play the game a dozen times just to be able to get the full experience.

Please feel free to correct me on my grammar and/or spelling. I appreciate your help. - Feb 18, 2013 10:53 am GMTI must say, the time limit is probably what will stop this game from ever being great. That doesn't mean it wont be fun to play.
As for liking and/or defending the XIII series, I dont see that as a problem. The first Final Fantasy I played was VII, way back in 1999, which I thought was OK. I've also played, II, IV, bits of V (but it was so bad I couldn't even finish it), VI (the best FF), VIII, X and XII.
I think the XIII series is actually better than a lot of the older games. Better to be a defending 'fanboy' than a sad, angry guy who wastes his free time whining on forums for a game he doesn't even like. - Feb 18, 2013 10:55 am GMTmahroflcopter posted...

That game has also been played in its complete state whereas LR hasn't.

Well, it was a guess. I have no idea what game Kupo would think would be the best.

But we've already been told that we have no such option and that the only way to increase the time limit slightly is to kill enemies. Unless the staff decides to change the entire concept of the game this far into development, this isn't gonna change.
