JRPGs are overall better. The only thing WRPGs have over JRPGs is a more varied morality spectrum compared to the omnipresent black-and-white morality (heroes being always right and antagonists being always wrong) we see in virtually every single JRPG.
Everything else goes from slightly (music, voice acting, gameplay balance and variety) to significantly (glitches, aesthetics, main storyline, combat system) worse.

The only thing almost all JRPGs have over WRPGs is the combat.
I can't name many WRPGs with good combat. Usually it's just meh. Even in the games I like a lot.

WRPG any day. Most other JRPGs besides FF (the only reason I used to play this game), is unbelievably weaboo

That's good because the combat is the worst part of the game.
And I don't think the combat is slow at all.
You can quickly wipe out entire groups of enemies if you do it right.
