Ok so I'll keep this review brief, because I know most people won't read it, and honestly I havent played this game much yet.

Saw this game at Gamestop for $5. So I figured why not. I have played (and beat) all the Ace Combat games on PS2 (4,5, and Zero) so i figured I'd try a different series. The graphics looked decent so i figured $5 is equal to a rental.

The BAD:
First thing you'll notice, the game is Bland. The textures are not detailed at all. The music is sup par, and mission details are very few. Overall it seems like the people that made this game were in a hurry and didn't put much of any thought into ANY part of this game. Also the controls aren't really very good. I've played worse, but it's nowhere near the quality of Ace Combat 4.

The Good:
Ok so there are a few things this game does well. There is a training mode that I found somewhat enjoyable. You can practice takeoff and landing, ground targets, air targets, and the mix of all three. But its really not THAT great. Another thing i like is the multiple camera angles. You have 2 external views, in the cockpit, and the HUD display. All look ok for being such an old game.

so in summary, this game isn't the quality of Ace Combat 4,5,or Zero. but it's a little better than Ace Combat 2 on the Playstation. for a Playstation2 game it's really kinda boring and ugly. For $5 it's worth it, but not by much. Maybe the sequel is better? If i can find that one cheap maybe I'll buy it also.
