How do I beat Belrog?

I have tried and with the regeneration of life I give up

    Double-tap 'Y' while facing it to do a ranged attack. Also, dodge the fire it spits at you (it gives you time to hit it after 4 or 5 blasts of fire). Once you've weakened it enough, run up to it and press 'Y' again to hit it with your sword. It'll shield itself with its wings so stand in the glowing blue area and hold 'A' to channel the lightning.
