And the Kratos Cometh!

The graphics are stunning, to say the least. I think we can officially welcome another developer into the hall of fame, Ready at Dawn have outdone themselves, and everyone else for that matter, with really good looking graphics that put most ps2 games to shame. I could talk about all the technical aspects of this, but nothing beats the kick you get from witnessing it first hand, it's like poetry.
The controls are as well tuned to the psp as it is possible to be tuned to the PSP. Everything works, despite the sometimes limiting design of the PSP, they pulled it off, and boy does it ever make this the easiest playing game on the PSP, there is no amount of praise on earth to thank Ready at Dawn for doing such a perfect job.
The gameplay and story fits so well within the god of war universe, you'll swear you never left the world, you will be strolling along lost in another of Kratos's happy candyland funtime adventures, and you will enjoy every moment of it.
The audio, keeping with God of War tradition, is a mix of familiar tracks and some new stuff that fits so perfectly with the art direction. This really is something to experience, and hearing this from the small PSP speakers will not do it any bit of justice, i recommend you get any sort of headphones and hear it for yourself.
But perhaps the best thing about this game is it has just tapped the potential of the PSP, hopefully now developers will see that is it unacceptable to release games like a lot of the crap and the PSP, and get serious. I'm hoping it has sparked the spirit of competition among developers and the other PSP developers will use this a a template for a good game. And Ready at Dawn said; "Let there be God of War", and it was good.
